There are only a fairly small number of cave hotels in the world offering a unique experience with some of them having the entire hotel built under ground. As these hotels are so unique the services they offer tend to be of a luxury standard offering suites with private Jacuzzis, bath robe sets, bars etc.
The popularity of cave hotels has grown over the years and is now seen as an exclusive type of holiday. There are cave hotels in various destinations ranging from the Australian out back to Turkey, so even though there is still a high standard of service at both the holiday as a whole varies greatly due to the location. Below are some of the different locations you can find these hotels and the services they can offer guests.
Locations of the different hotels
As stated above there are hotels in the Australian outback that are very popular with visitors. At the Australian cave hotels they offer services such as internet facilities, spa, pool, gym and also a range of business services including car hire and language translators. Some of these hotels in Australia even have their own shopping arcades because obviously there arent many shops in the outback so they cater for those that like to shop whilst on holiday. The cave hotels in places such as Turkey offer a quieter holiday because they are so far away from any busy Cities it is very popular with honeymooners and those that just want to escape the stress of modern life. Although it may not be near any Cities the quality of the accommodation and the services is still very high class. For example the main course for evening meals can consist of a 6 course Turkish dish and a lot of the produce used is all organically grown on the site and then cooked by an in house chef.
Facilities and services
Although these hotels may be built underground and in caves they offer the same facilities as many high class City based hotels. They also cater for the traveling business person so they can still concentrate on work whilst getting away from the strain of the work place. Most of these hotels have their own restaurants and bars for guests to use; this is because many of these hotels are in fairly remote areas so they need to provide everything the guests will need during their time there. These hotels tend to have a lot of historical back ground as well for example there is one hotel that is built in caves that have been inhabited for over 5000 years.
